It should be assumed that all Electricity Consumers have one question or the other, as it relates to the activities of the service providers and regulatory bodies. Over time the agitation for estimated bill and metering has taken the fore burner and it seems the more the questions are asked, the more puzzling it becomes. Recently, the Regulatory body proposed a review in the Electricity tariff, and it seems that the consumers don’t want to have none of that until the meters are given and improvement in the sector is noticed.
The All Electricity Consumers Protection Forum, a registered group know for its agitation and advocacy against any malpractice and unethical business behavior of service providers, has come again with her yearly Power Sector Stakeholders and Consumers Summit. They are taking the 2019 event up a notch by bringing together all stakeholders in the sector, for interaction and questioning on any probing issue in the sector.
Some of those who are billed to lecture in the summit are
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission to be represented by the Commissioner Consumer Affairs. Dr Moses Arigu
The Representatives of Ikeja Disco, Eko Disco and Ibadan Disco, Abuja Disco.
Also to be present is the DG, Federal Competition Consumer and Protection Commission, Bar. babatunde Irukera
The Executive Secretary, Generation Company. Dr joy Ogaji among others.
It’s going to afford you the chance of solving many problems, including metering program of MAP, who owns the meter and what about outstanding debt before metering? All these will be resolved as you come .
